A NEW MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGY FOR URBAN HYGIENE: COMAC ANNOUNCES THE ARRIVAL OF CS140 TWINACTION
“With its transfer to the modern industrial site near Verona”, explains leader Giancarlo Ruffo, “the Sweeping Machines division - already up and working for some years now - has been further extended.
The hope is to add to the successes already accumulated with the scrubbing machines - a sector where Comac is amongst the world leaders”.
Comac, owned by the Ruffo family, is at the peak of its sector both in Italy and at international level, with 75% exports in 100 countries. Just a few weeks away from the start of Pulire 2011 (the main European trade fair dedicated to cleaning technologies), scheduled to take place at Veronafiere from 24th to 26th May 2011, the firm has recently launched the mass production of the CS140 TwinAction, the large sweeping machine designed for cleaning streets and large industrial areas. The urban cleaning sector is where the Italian firm is modestly but determinedly launching its challenge onto a market that is undoubtedly strategic, and destined for constant future growth.
The new machine, using a revolutionary suction concept conceived and patented by Comac, is the result of an innovative project personally sustained by Giancarlo Ruffo, Managing Director of Comac.
“With its transfer to the new modern industrial site”, explains leader and Group president Ruffo, “the Sweeping Machines division - already up and working for some years now - has been further extended and can now boast highly advanced production lines. A choice that developed thanks also to the reassuring commercial success of our range of industrial sweeping machines, already known and appreciated by many end users”.
The hope is to add to the successes already accumulated with the scrubbing machines - a sector where Comac is amongst the world leaders.
“The road we have taken”, continues Ruffo, “is an ambitious one, requiring considerable efforts and investment, but we're sure it will provide us with the results we are looking for”. The production line of the new CS140 TwinAction sweeping machine has its own area within the Comac plant in Santa Maria di Zevio, Verona (Italy).
“CS140 TwinAction”, explains Ruffo, “perfectly sums up both the know-how we have built up in our company, and the positive experience developed through the creation of innovative sweeping machines that look very definitely towards the future. In fact our continuous commitment to the research and development of new models has allowed us to produce this new urban sweeping machine with its special TwinActionSystem - an original suction concept combining the force of the mechanical action (to gather up even the most resistant residue) with the effectiveness of the suction action (for finer dust), thereby guaranteeing really excellent results.
This model is particularly environmentally friendly, bringing water consumption levels down to the absolute minimum. It's a multi-purpose, versatile machine that can be used in many different situations: from cement works to foundries, for cleaning historical urban centers or motorway service areas, from road asphalting worksites to the cleaning of the outside areas of supermarkets, barracks, and trade fair centers.
And speaking of such centers, the recent demonstration made at the Munich Trade Fair (focusing on the indoor and outdoor cleaning of exhibition warehouses) was a great success; the CS140 TwinAction sweeping machine had no trouble gathering up stones, gravel, paper and cardboard, pieces of wood, screws and nails, not to mention leaves. In practice, all that material left behind by exhibitors at the end of any fair. And Giancarlo Ruffo adds, "We've also trained some of the staff already working in our factory, so in the future they can concentrate on the manufacture of this machine that is destined to clean the roads and squares of our cities too. We believe it can make a valuable contribution to citizens' health and improve living quality”.
